NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - ANNEXATIOIN

A petition for annexation has been filed in the office of the Parowan City Recorder for the purpose of requesting annexation of land belonging to Bauer Road LLC, located at 840 West 200 South. This parcel is more specifically described as follows:

BEGINNING AT A POINT N00°10’59”E ALONG THE 1/16^TH LINE 250.20 FEET FROM THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 14, TOWNSHIP 34 SOUTH, RANGE 9 WEST, SALT LAKE BASE AND MERIDIAN; THENCE S89°47’57”W 402.67 FEET; THENCE N00°10’59”E 125.80 FEET; THENCE N89°47’59”E 402.67 FEET TO A POINT ON SAID 1/16^TH LINE; THENCE S00°10’59”W ALONG SAID 1/16^TH LINE 125.80 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING CONTAINING 1.16 ACRES, MORE OR LESS

This annexation involves one parcel of land.  The front portion of the parcel is located within Parowan city limits.  The back portion of the parcel is in the county.  The intended annexation would bring the back portion of the parcel into the city limits. (See attached plat map.)

Notice of certification was received by the Parowan City Council on March 9, 2023.  No written protests were received by April 7, 2023.  Parowan City will hold a public hearing on April 27, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Parowan City Council Chambers located at 35 N. 100 East, Parowan, UT  84761 to consider approving the petition and annexing the area described in the petition.  A complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of the Parowan City Recorder located at 35 N. 100 East, Parowan, UT 84761.

CERTIFICATE OF POSTING: The undersigned, duly appointed City Recorder, does hereby certify that the above notice was posted this 17^th day of April, 2023. A copy of the foregoing notice was emailed to the Spectrum, posted at the Parowan City Hall, the Parowan Library, and at the Parowan Post office.  It was also posted on the Parowan City website at www.parowan.org, and the Utah Public Notice website at http://pmn.utah.gov.
