Fall Events Fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year to visit Parowan, Mother Town of Southern Utah. Take a ride through the surrounding mountains with a day trip to Yankee Meadows, Brian Head and or Cedar Breaks. Spring Events An invitation to Spring with blooming and leafing trees and bushes, plus a host of activities can be found in this charming Utah town. Participate in the March Swap Meet, join the historical tour of the cemetery on Memorial Day, Fun Run Car Show in June or make this a destination point to hike, ride or visit local interests including the Old Rock Church and Parowan Gap. Summer Events Summer in Parowan Utah is an invitation to adventure. Local happenings include Summer Solstice events, Independence Day Parade, Summer Concerts in the Park, Parowan 1/2 Marathon and Iron County Fair events. Read More
Winter Events Parowan serves as the gateway for winter sports at Brian Head. Make a stop to load up on supplies or spend the night and enjoy a local restaurant. Each December Parowan hosts Sub 4 Santa. The application process for families begins in November. Distribution will take place on December 8, 2023. Donations will be accepted at anytime up to December 6. Items needed include new toys, clothing, food, personal care and books. Cash donations are welcome. As the first settlement of southern Utah (settled January 13, 1851), Parowan is affectionately called the “Mother Town of Southern Utah. Many of the original homes and business buildings still line the downtown area of the community, along with a tree-lined Main Street that take visitors on a nostalgic trip back through time.
Pioneer museums, a historic cemetery and numerous historic sites are open for visitors to see.

Parowan also is the gateway from Interstate 15 to some of the most spectacular scenic attractions, state and national parks, Utah’s Patchwork Parkway Historic Byway 143, and varied natural geological formations.
