NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

DECEMBER 14^TH, 2023

Parowan Council Chambers

35 E. 100 N., Parowan – 6:00 p.m.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. in the Parowan City Council Chambers, 35 E. 100 N, as part of the regularly scheduled City Council meeting. 

The purpose of this public hearing is to receive comments regarding a proposed ordinance that amends Parowan City Municipal Code (PCMC) 13.24, “Flood Damage Prevention.”  These changes have been highly recommended by the State Floodplain Program Manager to make PCMC compatible with FEMA’s requirements to participate in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

Copies of the proposed changes are attached below, can be obtained at the City Office, and will be posted on the Parowan City website, www.parowan.org.  For further information please call the City Office, 435-477-3331.

The public is invited to attend this hearing and offer comments to the City Council.  Written comments may also be submitted to Callie Bassett, Parowan City Recorder at 35 E. 100 N., mailed to P.O. Box 576, Parowan, UT, 84761, or emailed to callie@parowan.org.
